Not only are we blessed to have a wonderful steady competitor, but this beautiful mare is also a sweet clown at the barn. Constantly grabbing grooming supplies, playing with her lead rope, and "hiding" behind her feed manger when anyone comes in the stall, only to weave out and nicker. We never tire of the stories coming from the barn started by this beautiful mare.
We are so happy to announce that Hey Jude has been through another inspection, this time at the SAI inspections board, and has received even better scores than her first inspection! She has obtained the highest rating possible, an A Rated Mare, and also received amazing scores of 10/10 for her movement and suitability for discipline areas. Because movement scores are so important for Thoroughbred mares, it was really thrilling for us that the judges saw that she really is a beautiful fluid mover and will be well suited in the future for Warmblood breeding.
2014 saw the retirement of this great competitor. The saying goes "quit while you're ahead" and that's what we saw for this mare. It's time to get some speed and movement from this beautiful mare into our breeding program. Jude is expecting her first foal in Spring of 2015 to Iron River.
