Chorus

2002 1.63m Oldenburg Mare
Competing in 1.6m/5'3 Stadium Jumping
Ridden by Colene Burcham

This lovely and talented athlete was imported by Castrol in early 2014. Since then, she has impressed us with her continued success both domestically and internationally. The future is only looking up for this talented athlete as she moves her way into the Grand Prix classes in 2016.

Utsiktens Expense

2006 1.68m Swedish Warmblood Mare
Competing in 1.5m/4'11 Stadium Jumping
Ridden by Colene Burcham

This big beauty is Utsiktens Expense, a superb quality mare from one of our favorite international breeders. None of the horses we have purchased from Utsiktens have been anything but stellar, and this mare is no exception. From a bloodline that has thrown multiple Elite and Class I animals, Expense is a great representative of her careful breeding.

Now fully mature and ready to hit the show circuit, we are very excited to see her completion under saddle and now her advancement through the stadium jumping rings.

U Brighton**

2005 1.70m Oldenburg Stallion
Competing in 1.5m/4'11 Stadium Jumping
Ridden by Oliver Barthel

An outstanding young stallion from Castrol's breeding sire Birmingham and an outside mare, loaned to us by Thestral of Utsiktens. We are happy to have a colt of such abilities and with his pedigree.

Castrol will be keeping Brighton for some time to see how his show record goes. We may offer him for sale to interested parties at a later date.

Abschussig GN

2001 1.68m Hanoverian Gelding
Competing in 1.5m/4'11 Stadium Jumping
Ridden by Ryan Reyn

A talented competitor purchased from his breeders at Gestuet Nereus, Abschussig impresses Ryan and our training crew each day with his consistent solid effort over each fence. While the aged gelding can still be somewhat impatient, once on the course this impatience is held in check just enough to keep him timed, but let loose just enough to push him and his rider for their best run.

Facade C**

2004 1.68m Oldenburg Mare
Competing in 1.4m/4'7 Stadium Jumping
Ridden by Carole St. Claire

An impressive pedigree backs up this outstanding athlete. Facade continues to impress her rider and trainers with her control and precision over jumps. We can really see the breeding program at work in this top notch athlete.

Both Jean and Carole see this young mare as a future star at Castrol. She is just starting to amp up her career in 2014, and will be competing internationally in the 2014-2015 show season. We are also submitting her for inspection, and might squeeze in a mare performance test if we are able to find the time in her busy show schedule.

Idolatrous**

2008 1.70m Oldenburg Stallion
Competing in 1.4m/4'7 Stadium Jumping
Ridden by Edward Johnston

Castrol's very first homebred colt will always have a special place in my heart. Idolatrous symbolizes a step from being only a small show stable to being a high quality show stable and an outstanding breeding center. And what a horse to have stand for your breeding program! Already fully approved for breeding by the ULWS, Idolatrous was one of the highest indexing stallions in his Stallion Performance Test, second only to his sire in the Jumping Index.

He and Edward have a great career ahead of them, and lots of fast rounds and untouched rails to woo the crowd with. This very powerful jumper needs to learn how to keep his feet under him, but we are sure that with more focus and time, Idolatrous may be even better than his sire Iron River.

A recent purchase from Redbird. Will add more comments as soon as we get to know our new import better!

Aeles C*

2010 1.68m Oldenburg Mare
Competing in 1.2m/4'0 Stadium Jumping
Ridden by Misha Burns

It always seems more exciting to see the produce of your home stable's breeding program start to shine in the competition ring. Aeles is out of Castrol's Birmingham, a young sire that is showing that he can impart rideability, movement and precision into the next generation. This beautiful young mare's 2014 show debut lent further evidence to that fact.

Aeles continued her success through 2015 and is now looking ahead to the 2016 season after moving up to L/1.1m level.
